[Comic] East vs. West: A Child’s View

I remember this from Zhuhai, China, but it’s been reinforced here in Hong Kong: people are so much nicer to children here than in the US/UK. They smile. They talk to them. They help. They enjoy them.

I, myself, have been guilty of viewing stranger’s children dubiously, like they’re ticking time bombs on a verge of a tantrum, when actually most kids are fine most of the time.

It’s a breath of fresh air. Children, themselves, must also feel it: they are welcome in public spaces, not just tolerated.
